Welcome To Supported Communication Services

If you are the parent of an autistic child who does not speak, or whose speech is repetitive or otherwise unreliable, you know that traditional speech and language therapy has probably failed him or her. Perhaps you have even tried expensive and labor-intensive speech-generating devices, with the same results. I work with autistic individuals and their families to help them find their true voices, allowing them to express thoughts and feelings (not just wants and needs) through alternative means in the simplest way possible: looking and pointing with one finger.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Lisa has been a godsend to our family. Had she not come into our lives, we would never have really gotten to know our daughter, Meaghan. Meaghan was 29 when she was first introduced to supported communication, and it changed her life. For the first time she was able to express the words that had been trapped inside her head for almost 3 decades. We had always suspected that Meg was more intelligent than her simple, repetitive words and actions had led us to believe, and her typing has confirmed our most optimistic expectations. This wonderful transformation would never have happened without Lisa's support and dedication. We were very lucky to be in the right place at the right time to latch onto her services, and we will remain forever in her debt for the expert training and caring that she continues to provide Meaghan and our family as we continue on our communication journey.
